Obsiva is an app for writing inspection reports with photos and voice. This page explains what data it handles, why, who it is shared with and how you can control it. If this translation and the Spanish version differ, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who is responsible

Obsiva is operated by Joseph Alberto Morthimer León Lau, RUC (Peruvian tax ID) 10730332578, with address at Calle Los Olivos Mz C Lte 16, Urb. La Alameda, Trujillo, Peru. For any privacy question, write to joseph@leonlau.pe.

What we don't do

3. AI features

When you use AI, we send Google (Gemini, on Google Cloud) the observation's photos, its voice notes and the text needed to transcribe the audio, write the observation, summarize the report or translate it. Under Google Cloud's terms, Google does not use this data to train its models.

On the free plan, photos and audio are uploaded only for that processing and deleted when it finishes; if deletion fails, they are removed automatically within 24 hours.

Text suggested by AI may contain mistakes. You review it and are responsible for the final report.

4. What we use your data for

5. Who we share data with

Only with providers that work on our behalf and may not use your data for their own purposes:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseAccount, database, files and Pro backup
Google Cloud (Gemini)AI features
PostHogUsage analytics
RevenueCatSubscription status
Google PlayPayments and app installation

Also, when you share a report, whoever receives it sees what it contains. We may disclose data if a competent authority requires it under the law.

6. International transfers

These providers store or process data outside Peru, mainly in the United States. By using Obsiva you agree to that transfer, which is limited to what is needed to provide the service.

7. How long we keep data

8. Your rights

Under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733) you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to joseph@leonlau.pe from the email linked to your account, or include the identifier shown in the app. We reply within the time limits set by law.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with Peru's National Authority for Personal Data Protection (Ministry of Justice and Human Rights).

9. Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings → Account & backup → Delete account. Your account, your cloud copy, your usage data and what's on the phone are deleted right away. If you have Pro, cancel the subscription in Google Play first: deleting the account doesn't cancel it.

If you no longer have the app, write to joseph@leonlau.pe from the email linked to your account with the subject “Delete account”, and we delete it within 30 days. Either way we only keep the purchase records the law requires.

10. Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) and, on our servers, each account can only access its own data. No system is infallible; if an incident affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.

11. Other people's data in your reports

Your reports may include photos or names of other people, such as clients, workers or visitors. You decide what to include and who to share it with, and for that data we act on your behalf. Make sure you are allowed to record and share it.

12. Minors

Obsiva is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
